Communication

An interface is a conversation between you and your customer. Great design is the manifestation of clear communication, both internal and external. In complex software, strong internal alignment often reveals itself externally in the final product. Every interface is an objectification of the culture it was born from, a product of its environment. I believe great design leadership is as much about communication as craft. I translate complex design decisions into language that resonates with product, engineering, compliance, and executive stakeholders. I’ve delivered roadmaps to C-level teams, aligned risk and design functions, and helped designers improve how they present and advocate for their work.

I hold a high bar for design—driving clarity, coherence, and elegance across everything from secure flows to storytelling. At Northern Trust, I brought polish and precision to authentication and wealth journeys. At Groupon, I helped reimagine the brand’s visual presence across platforms, embedding quality into both the product experience and system design. I lead teams to uphold these standards—not as perfectionism, but as a reflection of trust and brand credibility.


Curiosity

I lead with curiosity—about systems, people, users, and markets. I dig deep into problems, ask the hard questions early, and encourage teams to explore before committing. At Aylien, this meant unpacking how financial analysts interpret AI-tagged content. At Groupon, it meant dissecting how leading platforms like Airbnb, Nike, and Etsy shaped user trust through interface nuance. Curiosity drives better thinking—and better outcomes.


Vision & Strategy

I help organizations define design’s role in growth. At Northern Trust, I shaped login and role-based UX in partnership with InfoSec and engineering, supporting strategic platform modernization. At Groupon, I co-developed a new mobile-first vision and design system aligned with brand repositioning and executive goals.


Design Systems


I’ve led the creation and evolution of systems at scale—from component-based enterprise dashboards at Crowdstrike to global UI frameworks at Groupon. These systems reduced delivery time, increased visual cohesion, and gave teams shared foundations to build on.


Team Leadership

I’ve mentored and grown designers across levels—from junior ICs at Dell to platform teams at Northern Trust. I focus on unlocking autonomy, sharpening communication, and building confidence. My leadership style balances direct feedback with empowerment—ensuring individuals and teams level up together.


Executive Alignment


I engage confidently with senior stakeholders—bridging product, technology, compliance, and commercial goals. At Groupon, I worked closely with the Head of Design to align a new marketplace strategy. At Northern Trust, I drove design reviews and strategy discussions across business units, helping embed UX into platform thinking.


Cross-Functional Collaboration


I lead through partnership—ensuring design is in sync with product, engineering, data science, and brand. At Aylien, I worked across sales, AI, and product teams to deliver a role-specific financial intelligence tool, balancing complexity, usability, and clarity.


Pragmatism & Experimentation


I operate with practical urgency—balancing high design standards with delivery constraints. I encourage experimentation through fast feedback loops, early prototyping, and lightweight validation. This approach helped accelerate GTM for Radar at Aylien and improve cross-functional flow at Dell.


AI-First Design Thinking


At Aylien, I designed Radar, an NLP-powered platform for real-time financial insight. I focused on turning machine outputs into explainable, decision-ready interactions. That work sharpened my approach to AI-driven UX—blending transparency, trust, and role specificity in design.
