Role & Context

As Design Lead at Allianz, I spearheaded a cross-functional initiative—unifying product, engineering, and business teams—to transform a legacy, desktop-first motor insurance quoting platform into a cutting-edge, mobile-first experience.

Strategic Challenge

Allianz needed to modernize its motor quote process by delivering a seamless, multi-channel journey that reduced friction and boosted customer trust in a highly competitive, regulated industry.

Approach & Leadership

  • Defined and championed a user-first vision aligned with Allianz’s KPIs: engagement, activation, and conversion.

  • Established design systems, grooming and mentoring junior designers to apply consistent, scalable UI/UX patterns across desktop and mobile.

  • Collaborated closely with engineering and product leadership to prioritize features, streamline workflows, and ensure compliance and security at each step.

  • Directed usability testing and iterative refinement, ensuring data-driven decisions.

Results & Business Impact

  • Successfully launched a mobile-first experience with progressive, auto-building quote steps—shifting Allianz’s digital approach from desktop-centric to mobile-optimized.

  • Achieved a 21% increase in active monthly users within six months post-launch.
